Laurie has made some changes! We are called "Laurie and the Lefties" now!

Laurie and the Lefties is the new adventure for veteran vocalist Laurie Middlebrook-Spear. Building on the solid core of the former Laurie Middlebrook band of; Laurie, Dan Wall on drums/percussion/vocals, and Bruce Rupp on keys, Laurie incorporated her husband Kevin Spear on bass guitar and vocals and her old buddy Bob Hausler on guitar/vocals. This band is built around Laurie’s amazing vocals, acoustic guitar, and songwriting. The key element is the wonderful thick harmonies the band delivers. This unit has great vocal depth with 4 solid lead vocalists that know when to step up and lead and when to step back and blend. This allows the band the freedom to pick songs from a vast array of styles and genres. Instrumentally the band draws on years of experience. Its members have played stages large and small across North America. They understand every situation is unique and adjust their sound accordingly. Armed with solid arrangements and a willingness to reach out to their audience in a passionate and personal way they will take the listener on a journey from the sweet and sentiment to rocking the dance floor. Laurie’s great stage presence shines through and draws the listener in. The band is looking forward to playing for audiences throughout Michigan.
